How Often Should I Service My Car?

Your Jaguar's long-term health and performance are strongly impacted by how well-maintained it has been over the years. Each car and SUV we sell at Jaguar South Atlanta Certified Pre-Owned & Service has a recommended maintenance schedule. Following this schedule closely can minimize wear and tear and help you avoid a breakdown and severe repair issues. While you can use this general guideline to plan your Jaguar's next services, you should always refer to your owner's manual for specific service requirements.

15,000-Mile Service

Your Jaguar's oil should be changed at least every 5,000 to 10,000 miles. With this in mind, an oil change may occur at the 15,000-mile service and at all subsequent services. Tires should be rotated every 6,000 to 8,000 miles, so this important service may also be due. This is also a great time to check the tread depth for wear. If you have any other concerns at this time, our team is happy to remedy the situation.

30,000-Mile Service

In addition to changing the oil and rotating or replacing the tires as needed, a few other tasks should be completed at the 30,000-mile service. If your air filter was not replaced at the last service, it should be replaced now. Generally, an air filter is suitable for 15,000 miles in a dusty setting or 30,000 in regular driving conditions. In addition, some fuel filters may need to be replaced every 30,000 miles.

60,000-Mile Service

Once the odometer approaches 60,000 miles, numerous other services require attention. These begin with an oil change, a tire rotation or replacement, and replacing the air and fuel filters. In addition, it may be time to replace the battery, brake pads, and rotors. This should be done if you have not yet replaced the brake fluid. In addition, the coolant and transmission fluid should be replaced.

90,000-Mile Service

Many of the services that have been necessary at previous milestone services may need to be repeated at 90,000 miles. In addition, the hoses and belts should be inspected and may need to be replaced. Most spark plugs need to be replaced every 90,000 to 100,000 miles. If your power steering fluid has not been replaced, this task should be completed at your 90,000-mile service.
