The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE and the 2019 Jaguar I-PACE are a pair of compact luxury SUVs. Despite their similar names and the fact that the same company manufactures both models, they’re considerably different from one another. The most notable difference between the F-PACE and the I-PACE is the powertrains because the F-PACE comes with a gas engine and the I-PACE comes with an all-electric engine. US News ranks the 2019 Jaguar I-PACE number one amongst luxury hybrid and SUV models.


The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE and I-PACE models are amongst the most exciting models to drive in their respective classes. The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE features a range of gas-powered engine options. The standard engine option for this model is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that can produce a maximum output of 247 horsepower. From here, the engine options get considerably more extensive with the biggest engine being a supercharged V8 engine that produces up to 550 horsepower. All engine options for this model offer an energetic, fun ride. The lone engine option of the 2019 Jaguar I-PACE is an all-electric engine that is extremely quiet during acceleration and produces up to 394 horsepower. This power is capable of launching the I-PACE from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds.

The all-electric motors on the I-PACE are amongst the best of its class. Not only do these motors deliver tons of torque and power, but they also offer an impressive range of 234 miles, which ranks near the top of all-electric vehicle models on the market. The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE base engine averages roughly 22 city miles per gallon and 27 highway miles per gallon, which are average scores for its class.


The exteriors of these models are wildly different, despite the similarities in their name and marque. The 2019 Jaguar I-PACE has a gorgeous, yet more compact look than the F-PACE, most comparable to the Tesla Model 3. The 2019 Jaguar F-PACE features a more standard SUV appearance that is both bigger and boxier than the I-PACE.


The Jaguar F-PACE comes with tons of infotainment features on its standard 10-inch touchscreen, such as Bluetooth, a 10-speaker audio system (with an available 17-speaker audio system), and a WiFi hotspot. The I-PACE is the first model to feature the Jaguar InControl Touch Pro Duo. The standard navigation system also keeps track of charging stations along your route, of ensuring you always get where you need to go. The Jaguar F-PACE and I-PACE both feature a generous number of available safety technology options including blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warnings, heads-up displays, and more. The I-PACE stands out for its standard parallel park assist that is capable of controlling the steering wheel and parking the car for you with precision. The I-PACE also has available adaptive cruise control, with steering assist.
